2. The "Not a Bank" Declaration

Compliance Notice: Panmile is a financial technology company and a marketplace platform, not a bank. Payment processing, virtual accounts, and fiat escrow services are provided by our licensed banking partner, Squad (Guaranty Trust Bank Plc). Panmile does not independently hold, invest, or lend user funds.

3. Information We Collect

To provide you with a secure, fraud-free marketplace, we must collect specific personal information:

Identity Data: Full name, Date of Birth, Gender, Bank Verification Number (BVN), and facial scan data. Note: Facial scans are processed solely for real-time liveness checks and are not permanently stored on our public servers.
Contact Data: Phone number, email address, and physical addresses (for pickup and delivery of goods).
Financial Data: Payout bank account details. We do not store raw banking passwords or card PINs.
Transaction Data: Contract references, item descriptions, escrow values, and chat/dispute history within the platform.

5. Who We Share Your Data With (Transparency)

We do not sell your personal data. We securely transmit specific data points via encrypted APIs strictly to our licensed partners to facilitate your transaction:

Dojah (Identity Verification)

We transmit your BVN and selfie for real-time biometric matching to verify you are a real person.

Squad / GTCO (Banking Services)

We share your verified identity details to generate your escrow wallet and process your payouts securely.

Terminal Africa / iDeliver (Logistics)

We share your name, phone number, and physical address strictly to generate waybills and enable package delivery.

6. Data Security & Retention

We use bank-grade AES-256 encryption to protect your data in transit and at rest. Identity verification data is processed securely and is not publicly visible on your Panmile profile. We retain transaction data as required by financial regulations (typically 5-7 years), even if you delete your account, to prevent fraud and comply with the law.
